Hudson Heights Logo
Creative Brief:
The folks at Hudson Heights Studio Apartments needed a logo done super quick so they could launch their website before the resting season started.
There are two buildings that are two levels high, so unlike the typical NYC or Miami skyscraper, these buildings are wide and not tall.
Additionally, the owners where interested in depicting the fact that the apartments where renovated in the early 90s, even though the buildings are much older.
What I did:
I used two Hs, which are meant to represent the two buildings as well as the company's acronym. I used a horizontally oriented layout to mimic the horizontality of these buildings.
The buildings face each other; hence the very symmetrical design, where the 'Hs' face each other as well.
I used the font 'Eurostyle' which is a sans serif that is very square. This helps reinforce the idea of building (square-ness), as well as giving it a slightly modern edge. This modern quality in the font reinforces the idea of "new" or "renovated".
This logo was created using Adobe Illustrator.
