  • Is it a poster, or a display?

When Dan Segal, from the Plantsmen Nursery approached me to work on a poster and brochure job, I thought we would be doing a little old 8.5"x11" but to my delight, he actually needed a big display poster to sit a-top a 30" high cooler. This display-poster was also the anchor piece to the brochures being distributed via the display.

I went to the Moosewood Restaurant, where we were to display this brochure distribution system. I took measurements and jotted down notes, and soon set off to design the big poster. This poster was to be sturdy and stand-alone, as it would sit on top of a cooler, and away from any walls.

Meanwhile, Dan and I created a tri-fold brochure that gives more detailed information on the Moosewood tree, featured at his nursery, as well as giving sales details to Moosewood customers. These brochures sit in a holder, which sits against a sturdy, stand-alone, 24"x18", full color, full bleed, and fully gorgeous display poster.

The brochures and poster where created with QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The poster is laminated laser color 600 dpi print, mounted on 3/4" foam board.
