  • Waterfall Design Logo

Chris Grant is an Ithaca NY business entrepreneur, and one of the owners of Gorges Web Sites. Before there was Gorges Web Sites, Chris needed a logo for his very own Internet company, Waterfall Design. This logo was targeted at Ithaca entrepreneurs who were starting or expanding their businesses.

Chris is a go-getter kind of guy who seeks to make clients interaction with computer technology efficient and productive. Years of education and experience in the field of computer systems engineering will ensure the achievement of this goal.

He is also a savvy business man who knows that his work should generate the results most businesses want from their websites and applications: raise awareness, generate more profits, save time, etc.

    What I did:

In order to depict Chris Grant's very active and go-getter nature, we decided to incorporate the waterfall element into the overall message of the logo. In other words, we used water as the main element to inspire each part of the logo.

After all, the Internet in its commercial application is an industry that changes constantly in order to adapt to the new trends, or new standards for user-friendliness. This industry is ever changing, and fluid.

We used blue to mimic the color of water (or at least, most people's perception of it), and picked a font with a curvy nature that was reminiscent of the way water flows. This font also has a contemporary quality that reinforces the type of industry that is the Internet: ubber-modern, and fast paced.

This logo was created using Adobe Illustrator.
